Well, only a very small portion of Canada is capable of such a hoticultural venture. I've been to Bob's place and seen these first hand.

Blimey Barrie, Lemons in Canada , are these outdoors? (I would watch the video but seem to have some kind of Google chrome issue I can't fix that disconnects the internet if I watch youtube ) I would have thought your winters too severe for Citrus even though you get the heat we miss in summer.

Re: Citrus in Canada
Just fleece and Chritmas lights in colder weather but I think you get warmer summers than the UK. However, they might be worth trying against a south facing wall here.
Is it a Mayers Lemon
Is it a Mayers Lemon

Re: Citrus in Canada
I would estimate that temps would rarely ever drop below -6°C in this region. This Meyer lemon is along a back fence with a glass panel overhead covering. This keeps the weather elements off the tree. Lemon trees don't require much heat to ripen, unlike grapefruit and oranges etc.
The rest of Bob's citrus is in an unheated greenhouse.
Cheers, Barrie.
