Here are the next 10 common exotics from around the City.

A few are from my own garden and all can be grown easily by forum members.

Those are lovely Images Bill!!
YOU NEED A BIG GARDEN FOR THIS TREE
My goodness, yes you do, they will of course have to prune it in the not too distant future..

Your Lillies are early. My front one are at budburst but some way off the back garden ones yet.

Thanks very much for sharing, Southampton looks a nice place to live.

The gingko in the first photograth was taken in portswood road,Southampton just recently.

There are many others in Southampton but this was the largest I could get a shot of.

The tree in question has got a protection order on it so unless it becomes a danger it cannot be cut down.

It can be viewed on google earth as its on the corner of alma road and the main portswood road.

Even to buy a small one Kata is very expensive and anyway I haven't got the room for it.

Hmm...a protection order,

Not many trees I would buy and I would not buy one like that. I like Magnolias/Cherries etc. Obviously my old Acer comes top. Some peeps just plant them too near housing.

When I walk round this estate I see Weeping Willow (minis) half in their garden half in the street...sigh..If its not that its Lavender.

That tree I see it bothering the foundations eventually then it will have to be moved.

We usually do get a lot of blue skies here in Southampton?

But sadly not so far this year.

Unfortunatly I was unable to finish off the next 60 exotics because most of the others were in private gardens.

None of the householders that I approached about taking pictures of some of the lovely palms that I saw in their front and back gardens would let me take pictures to put on this forum .

So any chance of completing those 100 exotics ended up down the swanee.

One of those gardens had a huge 16 foot tall B Capitata in it....

Some of the others had magnificent stands of Bamboos or Yucca species and even more had some huge Eucalyptus as well.

I will try again but I think it will be a lost cause.

Sorry again.

If you mention HTUK would they be more inviting, perhaps take your mobile with you and show them this thread?

I did say that I wanted to put the plants on the forum of HTUK but I was more or less told to take a hike!

Prehaps they were thinking I was someone who was going to creep back in the night and dig up their plants while they were laying in the pit.

Anyway I will think of something as there are still a few public gardens and other places I can try in this City.
