Moving T-Rex

I have a Tetrapanax which is in the wrong place and I'd like to move it, however, I have heard that they don't take too kindly to root disturbance. Your experiences and advice would be appreciated.

it is certainly possible some on this forum have done this previously. However a word of caution they do pup from any severed roots ,So be aware that they may crop up anywhere the roots have travelled.

I've never had issues moving this plant. I've moved mine around and replanted quite a few times. As mentioned this plant propagates from pups and is quite prolific. If you grow it you have to like it as it spreads and this can be quite some distance from the parent plant. I think it's amazing and don't mind the spreading nature of the plant.

Thanks guys, would it be best to wait until dormant or just beginning to show in the spring before moving, or can it be done now in full foliage?
