Chapana survived last winter fine in a Sheffield garden last year. That seems to be the one to go for.....
I've not ventured into growing Scheffleras yet. (apart from as summer beddding)

Do a google search and you'llfind pics of the ones in UK gardens. Don't know where they are from. They look nice though.

Crug Farm usually sell the chapana, along with quite a few other delicious varieties. I'm not sure whether anywhere else sell them though. At the moment they are out of stock.
As for the taiwaniana pic Ken, it's not much to look at at the moment as it's still small after losing the main stem, standing only about 12 inches to the top of the plant. I've counted 4 shoots and have got my fingers crossed that there will still be 4 next Spring. Thanks for id Darren, I can now give it a name

it is a toss up between aplina, taiwinnia and chapana for me.
