seen these plants growing in mediterranean Spain. does anyone know the names of these plants especially the giant tree cactus and the dark green conifer hedging? and which are hardy and worth a try?

I would say that the orange one in the fourth picture is a lantana.

#2 is Mediterranean Cypress Cupressus sempervirens, one of the fastigiate cultivars.
