Yesterday i cut the leaves off my sikimensis & basjoo & fleeced them both, then the bloody sun comes out in the afternoon. These are the only thing thats protected so far. Not sure now whether to untie tommorow or just leave be?. karl

Forgot to add i put 6inch soil pipe over stems before fleecing. karl.

I tend to watch from weekend to weekend, as dont get much chance to do anything in the dark after work, so its looking like my canna's and musa's will be out for another week icon_cheers

where did you get the drainage pipe from Karl, cheapest I could find was £15

I use it at work m8, i'm a roofing contractor & we use it as heavy duty downpipe on colleges etc, that price is about right for a 4m length. remember you can use it year after year. karl.

Bumping the DINPY thread!

Indicator plants the Musa Basjoo and Cannas still having wilted/blackened, any action needed on above forcast?

i'm a bit confused this morning.
there is ice all over the place, not frost, ice but all the plants seem fine.

is it only after they warm back up i would notice damage?
