What i have noticed is they don't last very long probably lack of sunlight

Thanks Simon, didn't know. Same with my blood lily, not the same I know, but the leaves can be kept growing all through the Winter in a conservatory, but the couple of Winters I've had mine, I've never managed to keep them going.
