Where can I buy eucalyptus plants today?

Post by Yorkshire Kris »

I was going to buy from Grafton but they are out of stock.

Looking for 3 to 5 litre plants, ideally grown in air pots

Any suggestions for suppliers?

I think if you ring graftons they may have some in stock, I think they will be doing all the shows at the moment.
Graftons are a great company.

Where are they for in your garden?....they drain the life from all around them. they have very long shallow root systems and are prone to shedding apparently healthy branches for no reason. They look superb but I would never have one in my garden again, apart from a potted one.
Most wanted list - Any Young Trachycarpus and/or fern.

I have a Eucalyptus in a raised bed with other plants and the soil moisture is fine.

My 30' Eucalyptus neglecta has more growing under it than my 20' Trachycarpus !!

My Eucalyptus is about 10ft tall I plan to plant another, in my oppinion they are great plants and can be a great feature as long as they are managed in a small garden.

They will be planted right at the very end of the garden, over a 100ft away from the house or any other buildings. It will be good if they can soak up some of the moisture down there. I am giving over an area of 25-30 foot square to Eucalyptus trees.
