Theoretically, those brushes are a good idea. Practically, they're a nightmare to use, especially on pattern laid paviers

no need to bend down
:)

That's brilliant! Thanks FF.

Now I just need to find one elsewhere, I have refused to buy from Amazon since it was revealed they are tax dodging cheats.

Or they could choose to make less profit ...

I think the debate over Corporation Tax is tricky. I don't know much about it, but as I understand it there are a bunch of things that can be claimed against it - particularly investment in new plant / buildings etc - so I suspect that quite a lot of companies are "avoiding" all/part of it.

Companies pay plenty of tax - Rates, Income tax on what they pay their employees, National Insurance, VAT on stuff like entertaining. Foreign companies also pay for services within the UK - having their buildings built/maintained, and so on. I wonder what percentage of the total "contribution" to UK PLC is actually corporation tax?

However, I think that foreign companies should have it pointed out to them that they should be acting as Good Citizens within the country that they are operating in, and a boycott sends a clear message - as does ordering goods and sending them back. Repeatedly. :)

My drive is block paved and we suffer with weeds. I sprayed with resolva weed killer, then a week later I jet hosed intensely by jetting all soil and rubbish out the joints. Then bought some dry kiln sand and brushed in the joints. I then put two coats of block paving sealer which makes the sand go hard so will help too prevent weeds so frequently coming through.

I am a builder and I refuse to lay block paving for two simple facts,

1- they sink
2- cos of the weeds

We live in a housing house so that's why we have block paving like all our close has. Not my choice.

Hope this helps

Jet hosing is messy but you can get an adapter that goes on the end and it acts as a spray cover which means it doesn't go everywhere, they aren't that cheap tho .

Thanks, I like the idea of the sealer, I'll look into that ;)
