Where is best for mail order? at a cheap price? I looked at Bowden's that looked good, but couldn't work out if there selling at the size advertised or it the size of the plant that will eventually reach. :?:

Always worth checking eBay too. You get a lot of dig up jobs as people don't realise how big they get when planting them. You will also get a far mor substantial plant for a lot less money if you find one local to you

Scotishbamboo and Amulree are all great for bamboo. Watch out for any in your local GC or the likes of B&G/Homebase as well as they often have discounts and you see what you are buying.

their selection of plants isnt great at this time of year , but i got a couple of 7 foot bissetiis in really good nick with loads of stems for £90 delivered (which i thought was great considering what you get in b and q for that money)- customer service is very good and 10% off your first order as well .

karl , they are definitely bissetii , i also saw that they are not on there now . they had a much bigger range when i got mine in august. like i say the customer service was good as well . i didnt notice they gave 10% off first orders so mailed them after my order had been placed and asked them if i could have a colocasia in lieu of the 10% and said that i would pay the extra few quid difference . they included the plant and told me not to worry about the extra icon_thumright
