Well it's been quite awhile since I posted an update...a number of reasons, but mainly because I don't have a good camera and I just haven't found motivation for gardening this year.
Anyway, I haven't just lazed about, one major project has been completed, my brick built patio beds for my Chamaerops collection...

The palms in the raised beds looks really effective good.
