And the haul. I was a little disappointed as they had no macrophylla`s and no chapana's left despite them being available on the website. No rhododendrifolia either I'm guessing they were still catching up on Chelsea orders.

Nice............. icon_thumleft

Particularly like the Syneilsis. Rings a bell for some reason, perhaps it was recently featured on one of the Chelsea gardens /stands

Yep it's a t-Rex, probably lost the growth point but is coming back from the stem.

Nice haul Pdid.

I really like the look of Crug's garden and I am amazed by that red Rodgersia!

I wonder if it will stay that colour or fade over the season?

They do fade to the regular green over time. I meant to pick one up but I forgot

Doh!

I have a Rodgersia pinnata "Cally Coffee" and when the young leaves come up they literally are the colour of coffee, but they are starting to fade to green now :(

June update, done a bit of shifting about and planting out.

The rear south facing border has been given over to palms, yucca's and agaves to create an aridish effect.

The raised bed under the cherry now has all of my cyathea pot plunged in there.

P1000789 (800x600).jpg
Newly planted Schefflera Alpina with moved Mekong Giant, moved acer sangukaku, moved fatsia polycarpa, moved waggie and newly planted begonia luxurians (which defoliated and is now re sprouting)
P1000787 (800x600).jpg
And I've planted out collies, cannas etc. in the other border. Still a few bits left to go in but should hopefully fill out nicely over the next few months.

P1000785 (800x600).jpg
And Arisaema Kelung insulare

Apologies on the pics but it's difficult in the bright sunshine.

Very nice icon_thumleft

How much sun does / will your B.lux get ?
I've had to move mine(yours) out of the sun as its getting scorched and wilting. Now in a much shadier spot

Hmmm, I've never planted it out before this year. icon_scratch

Last year it was in a pot in semi shade and grew ok, over winter it was in the conservatory with no direct sun and it grew phenomenally but, as i expected, when it went out all the soft growth got battered and it defoliated. It is now planted in a South facing border between a few large shrubs and under a tree so does get some shade.

They do like plenty of water too icon_salut

More great garden pictures. The white walls set the plants off really well.
