Great garden Kris,
What is this plant? 2011006.jpg
And that Cardinal Red Lobelia looks great, mine died. I did'nt know they were a bog plant.
I am going to order another. I have a wet space near the Leylandi which has stones so it should suit it.

I have found that Lobelia cardinalis is pretty hardy. Some have started growing again in 2011 but not all. It is often see it as a bog plant but I grow it in the ground and in tub where it does really well.

Although Aeoniums are succulents they do like a bit of moisture, more so than some others like many cacti etc
Re: Yorkshire Kris Garden Blog with photos 2008/09/10/11
Yea I will have another attempt at them Kris,

Sadly my Dicksonia antarctica are no more I was too complacent and didn't protect enough (but also wanted to check out how hardy they were, sadly not prolonged deep freeze hardy!)eyefi wrote:eyup kris, grand garden mate. that 1st page Dicksonia antarctica fronds are great, do you feed it?

laters,
I never fed my Dicksonia antarctica just kept well watered and planted deeply.
A Northern mini meet would be good. Any suggestions where?
Perhaps start a new topic on this? Agree there are a lot of us Northerners about these days.

So what did you do after lunchtime Kris?
Been doing a fair bit myself, but had a week off work.

That's nice to hear. I think sharing photos of our plants and gardens is a great way to get ideas. I've picked up so much from this forum.JungleNuts wrote:love that pic from the first page .... the eucomis and the coleus .... have to tell you that was an inspiration for our foray into planting both those varieties
