Spent a bit of time clearing the garden today as well as getting the palms out of the garage (fingers crossed no big minus temps!). I was happy to find quite a few basjoo stumps still hard and one already growing.

That is/was a Ensete montbeliardii. It grows massive very quickly. The one pictured is only 1 year old at the time the pic was taken.

Wow 1 year old, it doesnt half grow quickly. Looks great aswell. What do you mean ''was''? I hope you havent lost it.

I think it's a gonna ste. It looks totally fine apart from the most critical bit. The bit between the base of the stem and the basal palte has gone to mush .

That blue sets your plants off very nicely Kris, some good stuff there , like the cycas . Your neighbour behind has what looks to be a very nice large fatsia. Ever thought of pinching it
