Re: Waxwings on the move!
Dave I think thats a great idea, like you say gardeners are generally wildlife lovers and a good garden can be a good haven for wildlife. I for one would support it
Re: Waxwings on the move!
Yep I'm up for that. Its nice to see photos of stuff you don't often see. Even common stuff is good to watch
Re: Waxwings on the move!
I too agree Dave, thanks!
I think we were just playing safe putting it here, well Conifers was..
I always leave corners untouched for birds. They have fatballs on the washing line (no washing) but birds don't see them fatballs or don't like them.
I bought peanuts, I bought a new water thing on a stand with a fluted edge.
There is a bucket filled to the top with water for frogs.

Most have moved on from up here, but still a few around - saw 4 from my house today.
Anyone else been seeing any yet?

Superb capture Conifers, still hardly any around here, or Bramblings.
Looking forward to next month for the early Spring migrants.

I saw a large flock of them feeding on rose hips a few weeks ago in sunderland.
A few years ago I saw 1 ringneck parakeet in sunderland on its own which was odd because they are usually in large flocks and are unheard of round here.
