Raft Spider, our biggest, female can reach 70mm.

I really tried taking a pic of one in our pool in Teneife2010...... It just would not land and stay there.

Great pics Clive I’ve only ever seen a wasp spider once before and that was in Dorset

I've not seen any, they are tiny and burrow a lot. The article says they have been relocated to Arne (coincidently where I was this afternoon) it is where the Raft and Wasp spiders were seen.

Clive I was told several years ago that there’s a small colony of them around Corfe castle.
Not sure if they will still be there though!

I'm going to a Nature group meeting tomorrow at Furzebrook, a village next to Corfe, I'll ask the guy that runs it if he has any info on them.
