Here is a Lavatera arboeum on the beach in my town.. it's managed to grow between a rock which gives it a wonderful setting. This plants is native to the western and south coastal areas of Europe.. it exists on the mild western coasts of Britain, as it's most northern extent, going down into the Mediterranean regions.
If only I could grow this in my garden but it's probably just a little too tender for up here inland from the coast..
Native plants can look exotic!
