By the time I would have got there it would be gone. I'll look out for it overhead down here! :)
Had to make do with a pair of Crossbills today.

First Sand Martins in Dorset reported yesterday, hopefully Wheatears will be arriving soon.

Two Ospreys reported already in Northumbs a couple of days ago (missed one of them by only munutes :x ) - about a month early.

That is early! I don't expect to see any here untill mid March and then they don't stay for as long as they do in the Autumn.

A fair few wintering in Spain now I gather - so probably took advantage of the southerly winds. I can't see it getting cold enough now for lakes to freeze over, so they should be OK.
