Freaky snail!

Post by Springy » Tue Oct 01, 2013 6:24 pm

I promise you that this is not photoshopped or a trick of any kind. I can honestly say that I saw this snail today and took the photos on my phone!
I'm not sure if it's shell had been damaged and so it changed its use or if it had always grown this way!

I'm still struggling to get my head round it!! icon_scratch

When I go back to the area tomorrow I'm going to have another look for it. I was busy when I saw it and just took a quick photo. I wish I had studied it a bit more now as I have never seen anything like it before!
Hopefully it won't have travelled too far! :?

I guess the shell was damaged so it decided to use the hole as it's new 'door' and has repaired the damage as it continued to grow!
