What Bird Is This

Post by kata »

I was making coffee when I looked at the back garden I spotted this little bird, It stayed for ages bobbing about on the garage roof.

I very quietly opened the door and tiptoed out to get a photo but my camera is not good enough even though I had it at full zoom.

I did try taking a pic from inside the house but I could hardly make the bird out.

This pic is the best I can get.

Thanks!

:ahhh!: Really...wow,

Even at my last address I never saw such a bird, usually Bluetits, Robins etc. I knew it was'nt the usual garden bird here.

Wish I coud have got closer.

Thanks very much all of you!!

Hi Kata, don't normally see them in gardens but more often dodging cars at supermarkets etc. Look hysterical with their wagging tails hence the name. Lovely birds icon_thumleft

It came back, same place garage roof...whooooo

Overnight it gets very frosty if frost is forcast, later naturally its melted by sun. I think this little bird comes for the water as it seems to bob down then up in quick succession.

My BIL Is as excited as me by this bird so I said I will send the Image by snail mail today.

Thanks Dino!

Found all about the bird in my bird book last night.

Always love it when birds come back. It's as if they're approving of your place.

We have a Pied Wag frequently on our roof and sometimes in the garden and very rarely a pair.
Waiting for the Yellow Wags to arrive.
