Well - that's a first for me. I was uncovering the gunnera (giant rhubarb) as I had covered the crowns with old leaves. One of my plants had straddled a stream in the garden and the old leaves were making a sort of bridge over the stream - and there, nestled between the thick dried up leaves was a little mouses nest.........did it know it had made its nest in such a precarious position. I left it be but I reckon the new leaves will soon destroy the nest........

I have a mouse living in my shed. Not sure where exactly, but I saw one slip in through the gap under the shed's door. Had bird food in there, the bag got shredded and the food is now all over the floor.

one year on the farm we didnt clear the muck fast enough and the mice were everywhere! it was so bad that at times we couldnt see the floor of walk through them! ive never seen anything like it. we dont poison them at clear out time so there was a killing spree by the local predators which was great to watch. first time i saw a magpie make a kill :)

I had mice in the shed, my fault,

It was 2012 and prior to the snowfalls I had put some Fatballs and peanuts in the shed. Well we got three dumps of snow that year and I forgot about the food.

Sp[ring came and I had a need to go in the shed and was met by an escaped mouse but what surprised me more was the neat piles of peanut shells and the fatballs crumbs in another pile.

They probably still shelter in there. What with mice in the shed, rats in the attic...oh dear me. icon_cheers

Wouldn't want mice in the house but fine in the garden, wouldn't let rats live in the garden though.

What about in the attic Rob?

My Rats have been in mine since last September. Wigan Council have funny Ideas on killing rats which do carry disease....they feed them... icon_aaargh icon_aaargh

In my old town we would have set traps not waited till they feckin multiplied.

That said thats a lovely pic Conifers. I have a feeder up and did not see any birds so the Mice must be eating the nuts slowly overnight.

Hello,

Keeping your home clean by disposing of things that draw in mice is the most ideal approach to hinder them. Mice are continually searching for sustenance, so ensure nothing has been spilled or made accessible for a ravenous critter, particularly under cupboards and spots that are anything but difficult to cover up in. Continuously tidy up extra nourishment at the earliest opportunity and scope up scraps on the floor.
