Does anyone have any newly planted fruit trees that seem to have life only in the rootstock ? I have some that seem to be producing only shoots from below the graft. I've cut those shoots all back, but the rest of the tree seems virtually dead - dead branches, few leaves etc. Have the shoots weakened the rest of the tree ? Is it best to just replace them ? I bought the trees from a local market stand so I have no idea of the provenance or the rootstock used. It's affected two peaches a nectarine, a greengage and two apricots. :(
