Looks like someone's gonna get a real bargain there. No point in me bidding because here (north west) they just wont survive the winter

I wouldnt say the last few winters have changed my perception, I just find that the Phoenix canariensis_CIDP's die a little too easy for me.

id have probs had a bid a few years ago,not now though,nowhere to keep 15 of these protected so Connie is right about my perception

Same goes for me, If they'd been anything hardier than CIDPs I'd have had a go but -5c is more or less guaranteed every winter up here.

If anyone from the south coast is just starting to design a tropical garden then these are going to be a great addition for little money.

Can't see there being many bids.

All the CIDPs I saw down sarf this year had died.....in the west Sussex area.
Most wanted list - Any Young Trachycarpus and/or fern.

I'm sure you could bring them in and put them on the window sill over winter even in the siberian north west, I mean, they're only 5-6ft high :D

I could do that Flounder but carrying them individually up the beanstalk would be very tiring.
