ID Musa please.

I bought 2 of these from Lidl on sunday, £2.50 each or 2 for £4. Description on label. Musa! Can anyone id it please.

Probably a dwarf cavendish

They were selling some musa tropicana a couple of years ago, a super dwarf that pups like crazy. That gets about a foot high. The dwarf cav in a pot to about 3ft ish. I keep mine in a sunny(thats a laugh :roll: ) spot outside for the summer(if we have one) then in a bright spot indoors for the cooler months. Must be above 10c but react better to 15c+

This was sold to me as a Musa Tropicana by Palm Farm a few years ago.

What's unusual is that if it is a tropicana it has survived outside for the last 2 years. Psudeostem died off last winter, but it re sprouted in mid summer, this time as 4 plants. It is in a very good microclimate. Sunniest part of the garden with good drainage and a pebble mulch to keep the roots relatively warm in the winter.

I have actually fleeced / wrapped it this winter (until I just uncovered) and the psuedostems are still intact.

I don't no what Musa they are but I'll be making a trip to LIDL for some . :D
