I put my seedlings out this afternoon to catch some sun and an hour later this happened!

The sun was back out within 10 minutes though and it was as if nothing had happened.

Yeah, we had a bit of wet snow too, it didn't lay.

That is hail, it can happen any time of year.

There is however some snow over high parts of the central and southeast of the country now.

Snowed for about half an hour here today, great big wet flakes; looked lovely but didn't hang about.

Also 3-5 cm of snow just across the Dutch/Belgium border this afternoon with freezing temperatures. The parts with some milder temperatures had between the 40-60 mm of rain since this morning. They have flooding problems as well with those high and rising rivers the last few days.



So indeed, winter is much much closer then spring will be so far. The feeling for emigrate is growing more every day, every year...

Expecting -2 tonight.

We had a slight frost this morning, -0.5 the overnight low. No more frosts forecast though.

-2.1 and proper frost this morning. Brrr

Proper frost here. Due to me having a grim cold/flu I didn't bring anything in or cover anything so it's all been subjected to frost and the washy leaves are showing dark patches.

Be interesting to see how the Parajubea TVT and Syagrus Rom San Cat cope with the frost.

So indeed, winter is much much closer then spring will be so far.
