July 2012 Statistics
Re: July 2012 Statistics
I put shorts on as much as possible too, most summers they are on permanently, this year hardly at all because when its raining they stay in the cupboard. Nothing more daft than an englishman in a howling gale and torrential rain with shorts on

I must be daft thenNigel wrote: Nothing more daft than an englishman in a howling gale and torrential rain with shorts on
One thing I have noticed, is that my Colocasia Burgundy Stem, are much taller this year. In the past they have been very light/heat sensitive. Grown in full sun they are dumpy with petioles twice the length of the leaf blade, and as the sun, and light intensity falls the petioles lengthen until inside over winter the petioles are 4 to 5 times the length of the blade. Judging the petiole length to blade ratio, it looks to me like the summer so far has given October light levels, but with normal summer warmth
Best regards
Dave
