The date changes at midnight and that's the most sensible time to start the next 24 hours of recording time. Quite possibly you could have twins with different birthdays if born either side of midnight!

Here still lucky with the mild weather and more sun then normally! Hoppefully it will stay all winter like this. Would be nice for a change to have a winter without frostdamage.

And the tender stuff is still outside on the balcony.

It looks increasingly unlikely that my location will make it to the end of December without an air frost. Already 3.4C and falling at a slow rate, but steady, so given no cloud is forecast tonight, I suspect an air frost, is likely, unless the wind picks up.

1 air frost would make December not so special, as we've had Decembers without air frost before.

An airfrost tonight in my opinion is guaranteed, the other nights haven't been certain due to variable cloud cover and breezes that come and go, but tonight will see the first air frost here with no wind, and clear skies, could be very cold too, perhaps as low as -2C if unlucky. That said although not unheard of, a December with no temperatures below 0C is certainly unusual. Shouldn't cause too much damage though as it's been consistently cold in the last day or so.

No frost here in my garden till now....wet & windy like in autumn, wich starts to get boring. Everything is constantly soaked

In 2012 winter was mild, untill two weeks in feb threw zone 7a temps at us...Sit back and enjoy the ride...

temperature sliding down fast here, after holding up for a while.. now plummeting @ -3C per hour. Looks like first air frost is possible afterall.. could have waited a bit longer though to do this
