No frost in sight here. Hope that -0.8 we got last week is the only one until January at least.

No frost last night which was surprising, low of 1 degree. Other places got down to -5 in south west.

Perranporth on the coast of Cornwall got down to -3C, and chances are they'll be hit again tonight! High pressure is never any good for western districts!

or eastern districts.... cold, damp NE winds bringing thick cloud really suppresses day time highs, and is the lack of highs that kill many plants. :(
Best regards

As long as it gets above 5C it should be ok? The east has been ok, I imagine the winds have been an issue, as for humans, there must be a nasty windchill. For the west maximums have been higher (just) but minimas in some parts have been generally of the icy variety.

Still, until next week it looks ok weatherwise icon_thumright

Well winter is only 6 days old now. Whom knows what for unpleasant surprises there are going to be the coming months.

Or hoppefully not!

I've got to say I'm happy so far with the lack of cold. Not had a minus one or lower yet. Long may it continue.

Oh, now I get it

I haven't had a minus one either, but I've had a negative one - namely a -0.8 icon_thumleft
