Already showing it's face here with strong south easterly winds and rain, feels very cold at the moment, but should vere round to straight south's shortly and then south westerly later.
Every one of these storms have brought trees down locally and I expect a few more will be down tonight

There's a bit of a draught coming from the south east, but that's about it wind wise here. There is however, an excess of moisture

Rain as well, of course. Windows on SE side getting power washed at the moment.
Huge waves expected later, 40 foot + estimated locally. Whew!!!!!

You guys had a hard time this winter. We all got the same storms as the UK did, but with less windspeeds and less rainfall. Windy weather weather predicted for here tomorrow as well wind wind gusts up to 120 kph.

Worth noting that in the Wednesday storm, the lower part of my town had a gust of 82mph.. quite a few trees down, and general structural damage. We had it good up here in shelter.

Now there's some pretty strong winds down south too, with minor widespread damage being reported.

Gusts have reached Hurricane force here, and although I get high winds much of the time, not heard it like this since October 1987. Can't hear TV due to the clattering, banging and general whizzing, hissing, howling etc.

Blimey, my garden looks like a teenagers bedroom! My eldest daughter came in just after midnight, imitating the corpse bride and muttering about the weather. Not had that sort of combination of wind and rain in a long while. Have no idea the strength nor volume of either as the weather station is now part of the debris.
Still a bit breezy out there but brilliant sunshine, feels very warm for this time of year. There's lying water which will quickly seep away through the chalk.....so, operation cleanup round 2 will begin shortly

I'd guess at 80mph + for you flounders if I got almost 75mph on the opposite side to the sea.

Still gusting 45 to 60mph this morning, 11 hours after it started, and that would be a severe storm in it's own right normally.

I've got a driving test in a Home delivery van at lunchtime and the weather forecast is gale force winds with thunderstorms

:D Have fun! Try and take a high bridge or something  I remember the storm of 25 Jan 1990, at the time I worked at the express mail delivery service driving around in one of those square boxvans. Witch was rather exciting on the open motorways...

Wind are strong here, max gust 94 kph, 58.4 mph
Storms first hit you guys this winter, I'm getting whats left of the storms

After a day of torrential rain and gales we had the strongest gusts of around 75/80mph between 9pm last night and 5am this morning and had only just abated to around 40mph midday. It has calmed down now but some tiles have gone on roofs around here and I have lost one fence panel and two others damaged, there were wheelie bins all over the place this morning.
