I have recently read that the Met office reckon we have gained an extra thirty days of growing weather. If they are right then it bodes well for our members. Believe it or not I cut my lawn on the 30th of January, the first time I have ever done that as it is normally late February or March.

On the other hand, the North Pole is moving towards London. But slowly enough that it's not going to have a noticeable effect in our lives.

There'll be no Arctic ice by then so coconuts in Reykjavik??
All I know is 30th January was my second lawn mowing exercise of the winter and I swear it's still growing. My fuschias are still in leaf and flower.
I suspect current UK winter mildnes is more to the high sea temperatures around the Canaries. On average more than a degree Celsius up on readings at the same time last year. Much of our wind and moisture this winter has come from this area.

My lawn is gone. Changed into mud due to the rain we've had. My palms are still growing
