No, I've no idea either but it would be interesting to know.

There are php packs you can buy of plant cutaways but they are ridiculously expensive (I had to pay £100 recently for a single php for a job I was doing) and I doubt there's a pack just for exotics.

Does a Punter really want to see an aerial-shot? Its fine as a planting plant, but I would have thought a horizontal/side-on view was more useful, with multiple "shots" at X-Years, Y-Years, etc to show how it will grow.

I use Punch Designer that has that, but I don't personally use it - the range of plants is too small, and they have an American bias that makes them less useful for me. But you can scan in a wallpaper sample and use it to paper the rooms and then make a movie "walking through" the house you have designed ... probably can do for the garden too, I've not tried. Might be possible to scan in some pictures of plants, similarly.

Overall I've found it handy for the things I've messed around with.

I've used software called £D Architect that is great for hard landscaping garden design but the plants they have are generic: 'Tree', 'Bush' and 'flower' type of affair.

Handy if you're planning a huge garden or an exhinition piece though.

Best thing i would say is a pencil and a drawing pad, nice and cheap, Lay out the design and adjust it as you go a long. :-)
