If you are off line for a few weeks, I doubt you'll miss much this time of year. A few discussions about the weather and the like
Monitor, crt or tft? Have encountered numerous problems with tft adapters rather than vga or dvi cables. If crt then it's definitely time for a new monitor icon_thumleft icon_thumleft

There might be a monitor lizard hiding in it.

Flounder thanks,

I had the same messing with cables/leads this morning, took me some minutes to get it to load. When I shake the leads and push them in as far as I can the monitor comes on. I am going to order a new lead that goes from tower to monitor If that does'nt work then a new monitor.

Seen one reasonably priced at Amazan. Or I am open to shop Ideas similar price.

I think with having the 50" TV it would be amazing to surf off it as well.... If I did that I could take back a corner of my lounge and cables...sick of that scene.

Some monitors I notice have speakers included in the works, anyone any positives on this?

Using a 50" tv as your computer screen would take a bit of getting used to, it feels like you need two hands to control the mouse as the cursor is HUGE!
I prefer external speakers for computer work, on board ones are a bit 'tinny', but if it's just about space saving.....

  Yea, the mouse, are cableless mice any smaller, I guess not.

I just bought Hercules speakers recently. I think second computer I had was an on board graphic and speaker card...hopeless.

I then got my son to shop at a comp fair and he built this one. It got a new tower recent so the monitor is now complaining.

Thanks Flounder I will be buying that monitor.

a 50" tv would be terrible for browsing, you can get a decent 22" now for £79 (this would come with a new VGA cable)

a new VGA cable for £2

DVI cable if your pc has it
