I’m not your average gardener seeing that I’m only 19.. I’ve studied Horticulture and at which time I competed in the Young Horticulturalist of the Year, regional finals and since leaving secondary school I’ve only ever worked if it involves plants!
As well as loving anything and everything to do with gardening and plants I have a keen interest in tropical plants, probably catching the bug from going abroad every winter to the Canary’s. We must of been a dozen times, and every time I go I look more forward to seeing the plants which grow there rather than the sun, sea and typical youths holiday.
I’ve joined to gain more knowledge from some of the more experienced tropical plant gardeners, as I’m still learning (as you always are in horticulture) and although can grow many weird and wonderful plants... I’m equally good at losing them in winters! (Not even go into what I lost last winter
)... Other than that look forward to talking to some like-minded people.

Plus you get the odd person such as who comes in at work.. see a youth and probably thinks “is he for real”. .
