Hi from Rotherham South Yorkshire
Hi all, quite new to tropicals, I have been reading through various posts over the last month and am really impressed with all your dedication and knowledge.
This is our first garden together, we made a start last year on making things more exotic looking and slowly but surely are making progress
We live in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, not what you would call tropical but were giving it a go
I look forward to learning a lot from you all and may ask the odd question or two.
Thanks, Tom and Shell

Welcome both of you.
There seems to be qute a fair amount of members here from the Yorkshire area, so you should get plenty of ideas here, on whats hardy or not where you live.

Hi guys,
Like Lee i'm from rotherham too. You'll find yorkshire has a good following on here.
This forum will be the making of your garden, with all the help and advice especially come winter time.
Welcome and good luck.
Local tip if you haven't been already is Braithwell nursery ( not plants of special interest). He has some great exotic stuff to choose from.

Yorkshire is more tropical than we thought we may have to change out the white Yorkshire rose for something a little more exotic

Hi, to you both, hope you both have a sense of humor I think you need it when growing tropicals. Helps you overcome the disappointments. Have some happy memories in Rotherham. When I relined a furnace in the British steel Owd Works many years ago. Enjoy.
