Hello from miserable Lancashire

Post by benbaron »

Hi all,

New member from Lancashire - near Blackburn to be precise.

I used to be an avid grower of most things tropical but had lots of deaths and then kids arrived - currently have 3 x 8/9' trunked trackys (obviously add another 5' ish on for leaves) 2 female and 1 male - seed every year, and couple of phormiums, cordys, yukka and an ensete (living in doors now for the winter).

Currently looking to move house so am thinking about digging up the trackys and potting them up in preparation - anybody interested in digging up 3 to keep 1 of the trees? I would have thought you would need to be local ish though to have a good crack at them.

Speak soon

Welcome another fellow North Westerner!

Thanks for the kind offer with the Trachycarpus but I think it will probably be a bit too big to drag across the county. If I think of a way I'll let you know icon_thumright

Hey, a lancastrian at last...

I lived in Blackburn, near my beloved Rovers, now in Wigan for my sins...

My fans here know I miss my old bungalow with the double aspect lounge watching the acrobating birds.

Welcome Ben!!
