The medio picta has not been in a garage a full winter but other agaves like montana have.
This year though the medio picta will be staying in the garage.

Your garage has windows...most integral garages do not have any, so it is dark all the time apart from vents. If mine had windows I would not have any plants in the house over winter.

True but a North facing window in winter receives negligable sun light. Certainly not enough for anything to grow.
