Hello from a stormy Holland

Post by mayja1 »

Hello you all.
I'm new to this forum,so let me introduce myself.
I'm Marian, 60 years old, living on one of the northern islands ( Terschelling) in the Netherlands.
Have been gardening most of my adult life and since a couple of years all kinds of tropicals.
I grow mainly flowering plants, like Brugmansias, Fuchsia species, deppea, etc etc.
Mostly starting from seed, always looking for something new.
Last year I've got hit by the Hibiscus-virus.:)). Realy fell in love with them and at the moment there are about 30 seedling/plants in my spare bedroom.
I have been checking this forum almost daily and I think the time is there to join and meet more tropical edicts, and share our experiences.

Hi Marian, and welcome icon_salut

Certainly is stormy today, although not as bad where I am this side of the North Sea. Hope you are above sea level as the storm surge may be the highest since 1953 overnight we are told in the news. Already some areas are being evacuated in Norfolk.

I assume you have some shelter from the winds there or it would blow the Trumpets off your Brugs
Best regards
Dave
