Hi All!
I am based in relatively frosty Shropshire, but can look out of my front window onto a bed that contains nothing but around 30 species of Australian shrubs, including Grevilleas, Callistemons, Hakeas, Banksias, Telopea, Leptospermums and Melaleuca, all clustered around a 2.0m tall Acacia pataczekii. Out back I have more of the less hardy stuff (mostly Proteaceae) in dozens of pots, which will shortly be moved into a frost-free greenhouse. My wife thinks I am obsessed, and perhaps she is right! I have been growing this stuff now for over 20 years, much of it from seed, so I hope that I have something to offer this forum.
I look forward to some interesting discussions.

Welcome to HTUK, Orites
You do well with your Aussie plants. Especially as some of them need a specialised planting medium and in Shropshire they must have to endure some low winter nighttime temperatures. To that end I can see the wisdom of potting up your back garden stock and transferring them to a winter home.
Your wife is right ..... and so is mine! Where would be without and obsession or two (hundred! )
