Sorry I have missed quite a few of you but I have been busy lately, so really need to get a grip ...trouble is, I need to catch up in the garden as well and it was too hot today

You know I don't have a single Cordyline! I'm more of a Trachycarpus man myself, although I have admired and been warned off C. indivisa!

As for what I grow... I reckon I have 600+ taxa in my moderate garden, ranging from the mildly obscure to the darnright rare! My favorite at the moment is the blue flowering Impatiens puberula HWJK, although my 'hot bed' is waking up- the first Crocosmias are coming into bloom and the Diascia personnata is still going strong and giving me a cloud of pink flowers at the back of the border while my Agapanthus and Eucomis all get going!

My website (non-commercial) will hopefully one day have some photos of the garden as well as detailed pics of plants.

Hi guys, I'm new to here but I know some from the EPS site, I'm growing stuff in the Wirral my notable plants include:

-Phoenix canariensis (W)
-Chamaerops humilis (W)
-Washingtonia robusta (W)
-Trachycarpus fortunei (W)
-Livingstonia chinensis (W)
-Syagrus romanzoffiana (S)
-Strelitzia reginae (W)
-Bougainvillea (W, E) (some success from overwintering outside, lost leaves grew them back this summer.
-Citrus limon (W, E) same as Bougainvillea
-Musa basjoo (W)
-Musa Cavendishii (S)
-Oleander nerium (W)
-Olea europaea (W)
-Lychee (seedling) (S) (will overwinter when more mature)
-Carica papaya (yet to sprout) (S)
-Cordyline purupaea (W)
-Cycas revoluta (W)
-Ficus (tender) (W, E) only recently planted, tender experiment
-Calandiva (W, E)
-Euphorbia milii (S)
-(Christmas cactus) (S)
-Passiflora caerulea (W)

There are a few more but these are the main plants. They all grow outside in the summer but some go into the house during the winter. I have put a letter 'S' next to the ones that grow outside only in the summer, and a 'W' against those that grow outside all year round. 'E' means they are being used as an experiment.

Gaz, That is Gary's garden hes a friend of mine who live nearby, his garden is an architectural masterpiece as you can see, and is largely based around moisture loving tropical plants. He has one of the world most tender flowering shrubs too, but I forget its name!

I will try to include some photos in a minute.. is it ok to post photos in this thread?

Hi Stephen, thanks for the clarification on the video, I had seen that a while ago and its a stunner.

Do post some pics but it might be better to start a new thread just for your garden pics, not everyone will see them on this thread.
