My small T Rex has started to grow i stuck a timber frame on it with plastic and fleece no snow sat on the growing point .Last year my large T rex the growing point went soft and it sprouted from the ground.

Yes ,mine has also gone soft and fallen off, much to the disapointment of my wife :lol: She did so enjoy its hard tip and its firm erect structure !! Sorry, must have the wrong forum!! :shock:

Johnny your on the right forum, lots of our heads have gone very soft, some are soft all the way down to the ground sadly,
but there is hope of pups in the spring time, in fact we could be over run with them by June :lol: :lol: :lol:

I have two new side shoots developing nicely at the moment on my big T-Rex, it looks like I've lost all of last seasons new growth of trunk,I am happy it's beginning to move again already icon_cheers icon_cheers

Its my 2nd year growing T Rex Nick i like how all the Leaves just come out after each other i have 5 leaves at different stages and its growing in part shade next to a fatsia its only aprill .I chucked some Chick pellets under mine how do you feed yours

Thats a shame about the trunk Dicass but good you have suckers they can spread cant they someone had a T rex lawn or something

Derick, I just give it chic poo and water well in and stand back, they do like a lot to drink while growing in the summer. Sorry about yours Dicas, no sign of pups here yet.

Thanks Derrick & Nick. No surprise really though, it didn't look or do it's best last year after the bad Winter. :(

Do you mean this one Derrick, this was last year after the tops died on mine. Never had a sucker before, then this :lol: This was next door's garden.

Just a reminder of how rampant they can be :lol:
