More the reason i think for not feeding was that i wanted it to get properly established first before giving any feed, i may start with a half the strength miracle grow, mixed with a 1/4 of tomatoe feed. :)

I would not recommend tom feed for Colocasia or Alocasia, as they don't produce leaves while flowering and the tom feed is high in potassium to promote flowers and fruit. Chempak No 2 or Miracle-gro with Miracle-gro lawn feed mixed, but NOT LAWN FEED AND WEED.

You want high nitrogen for big deep green leaves 1/2 strength twice a week or so.

nice one dave i will do that thank you for the information, as for the chempak i can not find this nowhere in my town, i have the miracle grow liquid feed but not the lawn feed must get some, i could always use nettle feed as that is high in nitrogen :)
