Is anyone familiar with doing this, usually it comes in the house and this year can't be done. Can it be cut down to the ground and stored,in which case how will that affect future flowering,it is about 6 feet high and about 2 feet across, the whole clump that is.
Does anyone have any suggestions,I know winter isn't quite here yet but the latest forecast predicts a severe winter!

I can't help you with this one....my hunch is that they have to be kept going over winter.

They can go through a bit of a dormant phase if kept on the dry side. Not sure about the cold temperatures though and also whether youll have enough heat in the spring/summer to kick it off again.

It's too big to come indoors about 6 feet high and three feet wide, this is not the only big plant I need to bring in.It's a matter of priorities.
