I don't think it's either Cordy, but it never seems to set them back in any way, all mine have the same marks to a certain extent, I think you'll just have to use your 'Nelson's eye' when admiring it, then if they start to become too unbearable to look at, just remove the worse ones after a new flush.

Your one looks more than acceptable though.
