Riveting stuff. Ok it is not what I thought, but that nanotech stuff is good.... Colocasia Burgundy Stem stuff. I said a few years ago that any water hitting the leaves is accelerated off at far faster speed than it hits it. BS doesn't get water splash marks. Would be great on windows and car paint
Also seen a grow light reflector using nanotech, and claims to reflect more light than a mirror, but in an evenly distributed way.

This technology and other associated technologies based on ceramic, glass and diamond definitely work as a thermal barrier. I know this as i have been directly involved in researching thermal barriers of this sort on the micron and sub micron level.
Can't say much more than that
The key to getting the best from this type of material in this particular application is to ensure even dispersion of the additive and then even coating of the object to be protected.........which is little more than common sense really.
Obviously i couldn't and wouldn't state that this or any other similar commercialised product works categorically but the technology on which they are based certainly does.
I may even give this a go myself in the flat roof extension as her indoors has me in full redecorating mode now the growing season is over

I spent the last 35 years in and R&D / product design role. One of the constant challenges was and still is control of heat generated and once generated how to transfer it.
