Cross Common Nursery - Found some interesting plants

Post by MikeC »

I'm thinking of buying some plants from there mail order (online).

Don't know if they are good choices or not. Anyone tried the following?

Asclepias curassavica
Justicia Rizzinii

I know someone who used to grow Justicia rezinii around here, but his garden was an exemplary micro-climate, I don't think Justicia will survive most places to be honest. Same with Asclepias, but it's worth a go? Both lovely plants by the way. Justicia could be grown in a pot though?

I think I'm going to try growing the Asclepias curassavica from seed, but going to give the Justicia Rizzinii a go.

Never been. Don't travel to Cornwall very often. Looks like a very interesting nursery.

It is a good nursery, lots of unusual goodies. I love it there and will take some pics when I visit later in the spring.
