Not measured it yet. Probably around 60 cms across. I don't expect any big leaves this year as its got a four foot stem now and I guess it will produce smaller leaves.

Just been out to have a look at mine, sure it's grown loads overnight  and as sad as I am, I've just measured it and it's 1 ft. 10".
I thought it was a lot smaller than that.

I prefer them at that height Kris, still very impressive and at eye level. Luckily with the mild winter I was able to keep my stems icon_cheers

Who told you that Kris :?:

I agree that the increase in size going from small to big cannot be maintained, but my tallest one with a 4 foot stem has huge leaves compared to this time last year. Current largest full grown leaf is 124cm 49 inches, compared to a max of 158cm last August. I'll take a pic later.
Best regards
Dave

I have seen many pics of bigger, older T rexes and the leaves look a lot smaller. I think Adrian posted some pics reccently.

Just measured mine and the two biggest leaves are 56cm  , maybe next year I'll be in the Big Boy league.
Although there are still plenty of new leaves so maybe by end of the summer these will be bigger.

I’m not going to win any competitions with my Trex Kris, it lost its rowing point in the 10-11 winter and is now growing from a side shoot, the leaves are much smaller then they use to be but TBH I’m not that bothered though, it’s more in proportion with my small garden now.

WOW!

Those are still some huge leaves....so I don't go to far off topic...
my little T-rex(Steroidol giant)comes back every year along with
an ever increasing T-Rex forest.

The biggest Castor leaf is 27" and they are still small, not much
taller than 27"

Mines only a tiddler this year producing smaller leaves on shorter stems now it's branched. The leaf at the front of the plant; 40" / 1020mm

Apologise for the crappy pic.
