Sorry to hear that Med, i hope you catch the beggars. Have you asked the neighbours etc if they've seen anyone hanging about etc
Re: Palm trees stolen Leominster!!
Cheeky butters!
I hope you get them returned Medjool, stealing from people's gardens is as low as it gets.

Back or front garden? I never leave pots in the front garden as it's too easy to just lift up and go. The one i do have is bolted to the floor.

That's awful, the lows some people will go too!
Its definately worth keeping an eye out on ebay. One of my friends dads owned a hot air balloon company, they used to store some in a big old barn and one was stolen. My mate was searching ebay and found it!! Reported it to the police and they tracked the b**gers down.

Some people have no moral compass, it beggars belief!
What stuns me is how they can look at the thing they have stolen and feel any sort of reward or pride? I mean when I grow a nice plant from a seed or cutting, or even one Ive bought I feel proud of it and looking at it in years down the track I can remember when I got the plant, who from, any story connected with it.
Maybe Im naive but how can you look at something youve stolen and get that sort of satisfaction Maybe they do feel a sense of pride or accomplishment in having flogged something, pretty sad if so...
Good luck finding them Medjool, stuff like this happens all too often. Whats gone wrong with our societies?

Re: Palm trees stolen Leominster!!
I had this problem here in Southampton a few years ago when some one stole 2 big pot palms from by my front door.
Needless to say I have never replaced them as I have no intention of supplying free palms to the good citizens of Southampton.
I never saw those stolen palms again so I don't know what happened to them.

Re: Palm trees stolen Leominster!!
Obviously organised crime. Palms in pots are blutty heavy, sorry to say someone has cased your place and brought along a van in the night. I was concerned about all my pots in the front garden, many £'s worth of plants and I've had them along time, touch wood so far, nothing plant wise has gone missing. Like people say watch ebay, a true palm lover would never do this, I reckon the culprit has no interest other than the value, so they will probably be sold on.
Hope you are re- united or at least find out who did it

Yobs stole two tiny cordyline red stars from a flower bed at my local park recently, they should have a hand cut off.
I would never leave anything potted in a front garden (If I had one).
I saw YKris leaves a lot of stuff out in the open. Be careful man.

That is terrible - I'd offer you some of my potted ones and they would take years to get to the size of yours. I don't know how these thieves can sleep in bed at night - have they no conscience? I think we will have to start breeding homing palms that droop and get sick if they are taken away from their rightful homes. Or better still, ones fitted with a microchip that emit a distress call to the local police station if they are removed.
