Logan Botanical Gardens

Post by Leigh »

I know AdamD had a post on this a couple of years back which made me want to go, so this year after we visited the in laws at the end of August we made a detour on the way home (some detour as well but well worth the effort :D )

If your ever up that way and your into Tree Ferns,Ferns Eucalyptus Trees or Cordylines, spoil yourself

Nice shots Leigh.

It's a wonderful place and I very much enjoyed visiting there. Those Cordylines are awesome!

Adam just re checked your post on this seems we more or less took the same shoots 8) , we didn't leave till they were just about to close up then had the long drive back to Pompey

Spoke to the staff and although they have had some losses it seems the wind is the thing that does the most damage when things get too tall

A few more pics

Ha, ha!

I noticed that about the shots as well Leigh!

I can imagine it can be on the windy side when a storm comes in down there and when anything escapes vertically above the shelter afforded by the tree belt it will be pruned back.

Logan to Pompey would have been a very long drive. How long did that take you?

Worst part Adam was getting from Logan back over to Carlise to pick up the M6, single track road with lots of Artics :x
But we usually do Pompey to Hamilton (Just outside Glasgow) with a couple of breaks for food and toilet in about 8 hrs without booting it, and me doing all the driving,
