Hello from Hungary! :)

Post by kozso95 »

Hi , my name is Zsombor and I'm from Hungary. I like palms and exotic plants. I hope that you can help me out and we can discuss our experiences!

I have started with some Washingonia Robusta seeds. They're bringing their second leaves but I'm not satisfied their growth rate...

Hi Zsombor, welcome to the forum icon_salut

It seems your fist post needed my approval before anyone could see it. I don't normally have to do this, but we changed the registration system last week, and this seems something different. Apologies.

Why do you think your Washingtonias are not growing well :?:
Best regards
Dave

Tell us when you sowed them and what they are growing in. Some pics will help.

I sowed them at the beginnig of March ,and they germinated really fast ,less than 2 weeks , I was amazed. But after the first leaf completely came out their growing became really slow. The one which i have sowed is bigger than the other one , but it's not as strong as the other palm. Maybe because it didn't got direct sun . After i took it to my grandparents where it got sun it became stronger. The other one received sun from the beginning. It's stronger , but smaller.
Last month i have also bought a Phoenix Canariesis. It was a bargain for $10! :D

I couldn't insert images(I tried what the BBCode description but it Didn't show the pictures in the preview), so if you have some time check out the links:

This is which didn1t receive sun at the beginning
