That's a stunner Gabriel.

If you have seen the pics of my garden from last year you'll know there is no way I can offer advice on drainage

If your bed is raised with gravel underneath, won't that prevent sumping, Gabriel?

Without doubt the best site for it would be south facing with nearby solid surfaces (stone, brick, paths etc.) storing and radiating heat. Set in something raised. It shouldn't need protecting except from something pretty extreme.

This is what has helped my twenty year plus specimen to do so well.

Lovely brahea Greville icon_thumleft

I have planted it out.
I have added a lot of perlite to the mix, hopefully it will be draining well.

Looks good, Gabriel. You may not get much growth next year while roots establish, but 5/6 leaves a year would be a good target for that.

Plenty of doses of 30c water should get it off to a good start.

Thanks Greville. I don't expect much from it for the next two years tbh, but I would be very happy with 5/6 leaves after that:)
